To perform the Victory Ropes Max Cardio Turns participants will need one Victory Rope and a partner. Athletes will stand side by side, face the same direction, and secure their outside wrist and forearm into the anchor strap. Athletes will grasp the anchor strap with the secured hand while the inside hand grasps the Victory Rope 1-3 inches to the inside of the outside hand. Athletes will move 8-12 feet apart as one partner performs an active rotation while the opposite partner performs a static hold with the Victory Rope. Both athletes will assume the same “athletic position” with their feet shoulder width apart, shoulder blades pinched, and a slight bend at the knees, hips, and ankles.

Both partners will extend their arms as one begins to rotate their hand across their body. Utilizing the core athletes can complete 10-15 repetitions or a continuous 15-20 second round. Once the first set is complete athletes will switch rolls as athletes performing the static holds will now perform the rotational portion. Partners will rest after each set for 40-90 seconds before beginning the next round. Partners should rotate which role they begin with and end the drill with. Perform 4-6 sets of the Max Cardio Turns Exercise.
