Ingredients
SWEET CHILI MEATBALLS
- 1 lbs. ground beef, lean
- 1 egg
- 2 bags Quest Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips, crushed
- ¼ cup almond flour
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp salt
Sauce:
- ¼ cup hot sauce (Tapatio)
- ¼ cup sugar free syrup (Wholesome Yum Honey)
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp salt
- Sesame seeds
Method
- Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine. Separate the mixture into 20 evenly sized meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs for 10-12 minutes and then broil for 2-4 minutes to brown the tops.
- While the meatballs cook, place all the sauce ingredients (except the sesame seeds) into a pot over medium heat.
- Stir and let simmer until the meatballs are done.
- Add the meatballs to the sauce and toss until everything is well coated.
- Serve immediately.
