Led by “Bachelorette” alumni, Tanner Courtad, and founder of Future Self, this class offers a walking-based workout that’s bound to help you clock in tons of steps while getting the heart rate up. Assisted by Paris Nicole and Tyler Hightower, this class is beginner-friendly, making it an easy choice for an at-home or gym workout.

The best part? If you’re tight on time, the class is only thirty minutes, and it is a low-impact group fitness class that doesn’t require any fussy equipment — just your bodyweight.

“This walking class is good for getting the heart rate up and feeling good,” Courtad says. To start, you’ll begin with a structured warm up for the whole body, including marching in place, side stepping and small kicks forward.

Throughout the session, Courtad reminds the class to pay close attention to form, cueing participants to keep a tall, proud chest with a long spine, and to have fun while moving the arms and marching with the feet. The goal of the group fitness class is to work on coordination, improve balance and focus on core work.

In the next phase of the workout, Courtad ramps up the intensity with squats and combinations inspired by boxing. The class also features a standing core challenge, targeting the obliques. To finish out, Courtad offers a group cool-down together, gradually decreasing the intensity, bringing the heart rate back down, and stretching.

“All we have to do at the end of the day is probably move a little bit more,” Courtad says, before closing things out, “I’m happy we’re moving together.”

If you’re game for an added challenge, look to our 5-minute core workout from Raneir Pollard as a super quick finisher. Or, spend a little bit more time winding down with a guided cool down from Sweat and Tell.
